I sit here in deep restoration that comes with the journey of not allowing tech or social media to dictate my time any longer, allowing creativity to move through me, reaffirming how it flows best—through rest, through stillness, through permission to simply be. And I know this to be true for others too: when we allow ourselves to restore, we revive.

As I move through different playlists and songs, I feel the weight and beauty of what’s forming—the container for Embody Your Feminine Essence Somatic Dance Retreat, co-created with my beautiful friend and mentor Amanda Hanna. Waves of emotion rise with each song I feel called to include, each piece becoming part of this deep, immersive journey into the feminine essence.
And amidst it all, an emotion washes over me—one I can’t quite name. Grief? Joy? Both, held together in the same breath. A longing, perhaps, for spaces like this to have existed for me long ago. A deep reverence for those who have held me, especially Sasha Hope and Stephen Blase , who guided me through over 20 days of somatic dance training. They helped me dive into my feminine, my masculine, and all that exists in between, so I could embody this work—so I could create spaces for others to move, feel, and hold themselves in their fullness.
After witnessing Gabor Maté live last night—an experience I never imagined I would have in this lifetime—I feel a profound solidarity and commitment to this work. A renewed trust in the wisdom of the Soma, the body, and all it holds. So many of us have been taught to believe the mind knows best, but it’s time—time to listen to the body, to return to its wisdom, to feel.
